A Look At Christi's Debut Album "FALL APART" and Hit Single "LOVE BURN"

A Look At Christi's Debut Album

South African singer-songwriter Christi launched her debut album "FALL APART," last week, along with a brand-new single, "LOVE BURN." The album, a pop masterpiece infused with 80s synth and pop-rock influences, is a culmination of Christi's personal and musical journey over the past 8 years.

Reflecting on the title of the album, Christi shares, "Fall Apart reflects many of the trials I've experienced in life. It reveals how I've fallen apart over the years, yet it also shows how I've grown. After falling apart, better things tend to come together."

The album consists of eleven tracks, each weaving a unique narrative of life experiences, including heartbreak, self-doubt, depression, alcohol abuse, and even sexual assault. Despite addressing heavy topics, the album is presented in a catchy, fun way, with upbeat elements inspired by 80s music and early 2000s pop-rock.

Produced by Daniel Baron, with additional contributions from Johan Viljoen, "FALL APART" showcases Christi's versatility and ability to convey vulnerable emotions in a relatable and accessible manner.

Christi's favorite tracks on the album include "Playing" and "One Step." "Playing" stands out as her most vulnerable song, narrating one of her worst experiences, while "One Step" serves as her feel-good anthem, inspired by The Beatles and Fleetwood Mac.

To celebrate last week’s album launch, Christi released the single "LOVE BURN," a classic breakup song written by the artist herself. The upbeat track combines elements of modern-day music with sounds from the early 2000s.

Christi's passion for music was sparked by her father, who was a DJ. Currently living in Potchefstroom, Christi is devoted to her music career, with aspirations to perform more shows in South Africa and potentially release new music.
