Welcome To Sludge Underground
Sludge Underground Podcast

Sludge Underground was founded by Nasiphi Zwane in Durban, late 2016, with the aim of profiling local Alt bands that weren't getting mainstream radio coverage in the 031. Over time, the podcast started getting an influx of Hip-Hop artist submissions and eventually started profiling artists and creatives of all genres. 2020 was the year the podcast started experimenting with online interviews thanks to COVID, which opened up opportunities for the hosts to profile creatives from other provinces as well as international artists. The podcast has a very raw & conversational kind of approach to its interviews, that, combined with diverse guest appearances only means Sludge Underground truly lives up to its slogan 'Alternative & First Of Its Kind'
