ILL SYSTEM
Band
ILL System, formed in 2001, returned to South Africa in 2014 after a two year stint in the UK.
The band can be described as African Metal. They are a ragga-infused Groove Metal unit and their music is a hard-hitting politically charged mix of Groove Metal, Hip-Hop, Rock and Reggae with more recent additions of Electronica and Drum & Bass.
Their music has a unique African influence, with tracks often leading with Djembe and Bongo percussion.
ILL System prides themselves on their live performances and this is where they feel most at home, on stage, with a RAW, unrelenting energy and passion for their craft.
