“People say we’re different but we just try to keep it exciting”, say Paint Me In Colour. The Liverpool-based four-piece, whose sound has evolved from classic indie numbers to incorporating “spangly guitars, nostalgic hooks, and distorted drum grooves”, first met at college and through mutual friends, the chemistry sparked from the first rehearsal.

Their 2019 debut single ‘Feel It.’ was packed with soulful vocals and summer vibes, and boasts being backed by BBC Introducing, Popped Music and Gigwise. Latest track, ‘Pity Me’, however, is reminiscent of alternative artists Maisie Peters and Fickle Friends, who the band count as recent influences on their sound, as well as Pop icon, Avril Lavigne.

“We wanted to write a song that people could relate to as much as they could mosh to”, PMIC say of their new musical direction. “We've landed on a sound that we’re truly proud of”.

Paint Me In Colour plan to release an additional two singles later this year, recorded at the legendary Motor Museum in Liverpool. The process saw them work with platinum winning record producer/mixer, Al Groves (Bring Me The Horizon, STONE). Next year, the band will take their “electrifying” live sound on the road, and plan to get some heavy-weight festivals under their belt.
