A Deep Dive Into Cindy-Louise’s Most Explosive Single To Date, Outcasts ft. Erick Gerber

Outcasts’ by Cindy-Louise featuring Erick Gerber has been out for almost a month now and hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down. In an exclusive interview, Cindy-Louise shares insights into the making of this remarkable single, the collaboration with Erick, and the message behind 'Outcasts.'

How The Collab Came About

We began our interview by delving into the roots of this collaboration. Cindy-Louise revealed that her admiration for Erick Gerber's work was the catalyst behind this partnership.

‘I have always admired Erick's work and known him for quite some time. His skills are just out of this world and I love the sound of his voice. He actually did a lot of work on my first album. We just happened to catch-up on a call one day and then decided, we should write a song together.’

The Significance Of The Name ‘Outcasts’

Cindy-Louise revealed that while they had difficulty deciding on a title, they wanted something that resonated deeply with the song's core message.

‘We knew we wanted something significant, that's why we chose a word that means the most out of the song, which was Outcasts. This is such a powerful word because it has always been seen as a negative definition, but we wanted to change that and make it powerful, like, express and embrace your individuality.’

Complementary Qualities

Cindy-Louise shared how Erick's unique strengths complemented her own style in 'Outcasts.' She highlighted the harmony between their voices and how their tones beautifully intertwined.

‘I really think our voices go really nicely together. I also feel that Erick writes music in a slightly different way than I do and it was super cool to learn and adapt, this helped me a lot with writing my new songs too. He also comes from more of a band point of view, which I think makes the song sound a lot fuller, which adds a lot more emotion to the song. I also wanted this song to go more towards a rock sound and Erick brought that vibe to this song.’

The Rewarding Aspect of Collaboration

For Cindy-Louise, the most rewarding aspect of working with Erick on 'Outcasts' was the joy of collaborating with a dear friend.

‘I just loved collaborating with my friend. We both had a story to tell and it came out beautifully. I truly hope people like us can connect and feel they have a place to belong within our world. As we say in the song ‘welcome to the club.’

A Message to Fans and Readers

Cindy-Louise closed off with a heartfelt message for her fans and readers.

‘Be who you are and don't change to fit society’s standards, find the people who accept and love you.’
