Finding Creative Fulfilment with Cistamatic
EP371: Meagan chats to Gabbi and Ethan from Art Punk trio - Cistamatic. We talk about shifting gears after ‘Soft Side’, writing Punk with a Pop sensibility and sowing seeds in the scene. They take us through their magical beginnings, keeping the klap factor and spreading the sharing spirit. Gabbi and Ethan wax about getting present at the party, normalising deposits and collaboration in Cape Town. Take note; if it doesn’t klap, it’s not klapstamatic.

Cistamatic
Band
Cistamatic is a 3 piece independent punk band from Cape Town consisting of Gabbi le Roux, Ethan Pelser and James Turner. Driven by mutual systemic angst and love for all things fuzzy and feeling, Cistamatic formed in April 2022 and since then, have over 40 shows under their belt. With thrashing drums, melodic refrains and and subversive lyrics, Cistamatic have garnered a reputation as one of the most exciting upcoming bands in the Cape Town music scene. Their first album "Now that's what I call Cistamatic" will be out by the end of the year.
